Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he expects shooting guard Klay Thompson to be ready for the start of the NBA Finals, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.

The Warriors announced on Friday that Thompson was diagnosed with a concussion following being kneed in the head during Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.

Kerr said Saturday that "all is going well" with Thompson, according to Spears.

Thompson must pass the NBA's concussion protocol in order to be cleared to play again. Golden State said Friday that he will be evaluated daily.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals will be held on June 4. The Warriors beat the Rockets in five games to advance to the Finals, where they will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers.
