Video: Dion Waiters, Tim Hardaway Jr. turn Rising Stars Challenge into 1-on-1 battle

Dion Waiters and Tim Hardaway Jr. were two of the most low-profile participants heading into NBA All-Star Weekend, but their 1-on-1 battle Friday night in the Rising Stars Challenge will undoubtedly go down as one of the highlights.

The two guards put on a shooting display for the ages in the second half of Team Hill's 142-136 win over Team Webber, both catching fire and exchanging deep three-pointers, filthy crossovers and And1 Mixtape-worthy highlights.

The rest of the players wisely got out of the way, letting Waiters and Hardaway Jr. do their thing and giving fans a chance to see an incredible shooting display. The video above starts with Waiters and Hardaway Jr. putting up a few highlight plays in the first half, but the second half is where the action really picked up (0:46 of the video), transforming Friday night's showcase momentarily into a glorified 1-on-1 game.

Hardaway finished the game with 36 points on 12-of-23 shooting (7-of-16 from deep) while Waiters totaled 31 points on more efficient 10-of-13 shooting.

The 1-on-1 battle was so good, it made Kevin Durant and James Harden nearly lose it courtside, jumping out of their seats every time Waiters or Hardaway Jr. delivered another ridiculous jumper.
