Buffalo Bills starting running back LeSean McCoy is officially active for week 1.

On Thursday, McCoy told reporters that he did not feel 100 percent recovered form a hamstring strain, but that he felt good enough to compete.

Albert Breer of NFL Network reported Sunday that the Bills plan to give McCoy the bulk of the carries against the Indianapolis Colts.

McCoy will make his first regular season start for the Bills after playing the last six seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles. He ran for 1319 yards and 5 touchdowns last season.

McCoy has eclipsed the 1000 yard rushing mark in four of his six NFL seasons.
