Namibian boxer Jonas Junius has been arrested for attempted sexual assault on a housekeeper in the Olympic Village, reports Gabriel Elizondo of Al Jazeera English.

Junius, 22, is expected to be transferred to the Bangu prison in Rio de Janeiro later today.

He is the second boxer to be arrested for sexual assault in Rio. Hassan Saada of Morocco was arrested on Friday for assaulting two housekeepers.

Junius was selected as Namibia’s flag-bearer at the opening ceremony. He was scheduled to compete on Thursday.
