With France automatically qualified for Euro 2016 as the host nation, Les Bleus lined up an array of friendlies while their counterparts endure the qualifying process, but that doesn't mean they're not making headlines with their performances.

After Mathieu Valbuena's sumptuous free kick lifted France to a 1-0 win over Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal on Friday, Blaise Matuidi did the honors on Monday.

Matuidi's wicked volley off a clearance scorched the back of the net for his second goal of the day in giving France a 2-0 lead over Serbia 25 minutes into their match in Bordeaux.

After heading home a cross from Antoine Griezmann in the ninth minute, the PSG star midfielder timed his connection perfectly for his second tally, unleashing a left-footed one-timer that left Predrag Rajkovic helpless. It wound up being the game-winner, as France held on for the 2-1 triumph.
