Is Anthony Davis Playing Tonight? (Injury Update, Betting Impact for Lakers vs. Mavs)

Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis will face his former team -- the Los Angeles Lakers -- for the first time since the famed deadline deal that sent Luka Doncic to L.A.

This is a revenge game for Doncic -- his first in front of the Dallas crowd -- but Davis also has every right to want to have a big game on Wednesday.

This season, Davis was sidelined by an adductor injury that he suffered in his first game in Dallas, but he has since returned to play at a high level, albeit on a minutes restriction. On Wednesday, Davis is listed as probable against the Lakers.

This isn't just a revenge game for Doncic, as Davis may want to show his former team what it is missing as well.

He’s been on a minutes limit since returning, but this is a great matchup against a Lakers team that has no depth at center since trading him away. AD has just one game with double-digit boards since returning from his injury, but he could be in line for a big game today, especially if the Lakers try their small-ball lineup against him with Jarred Vanderbilt or Rui Hachimura at the center spot.
