We're halfway through the 2025 edition of the Masters, and we're in for one of the best weekends at the event since 2019. The Saturday pairings have been announced, and there are some fun ones, including Tyrrell Hatton and Scottie Scheffler.

If your pre-tournament bets are already out of the mix or if you're just looking for some extra action on Saturday, I'm here to break down my top five favorite 2-ball bets for Masters Saturday. Let's dive into them.

Best Masters Round 3 2-Ball Bets

All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Joaquin Niemann -115 vs. Jordan Spieth
  • Tom Hoge -105 vs. Max Homa
  • Maverick McNealy -125 vs. Charl Schwartzel
  • Harris English +125 vs. Min Woo Lee
  • Tyrrell Hatton +215 vs. Scottie Scheffler

Joaquin Niemann -115 vs. Jordan Spieth

Spieth's ball striking numbers have been horrific this week. He's lost -2.83 strokes per round with his approach play. Thankfully, his short game has been strong, which was enough for him to make the cut, but I have little to no faith in him putting together a strong weekend. Simply put, you can't survive a four-round tournament when you're approach game is that bad.

I have more faith in Niemann on Saturday, who has had the opposite luck. His ball striking has been strong, but his short game has fallen on the wrong side of variance. His game has been more repeatable on the weekend compared to Spieth's. I'll back him to take down Spieth in their twosome on Saturday.

Tom Hoge -105 vs. Max Homa

Max Homa to miss the cut was one of the most bet on props at this year's Masters. Good for him for proving the doubters wrong and making it to the weekend, but I expect little from him on Saturday. He has gained +1.94 strokes on the green per round, and based on the fact he's not known as a lights-out putter, I don't expect his strong putting to sustain on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hoge has gained over a stroke per round with both his approach play and putting, losing over two strokes a round with his chipping. I simply can't believe his chipping is going to continue to be that bad on the weekend. If he can sort that out, He'll beat Homa on Saturday.

Maverick McNealy -125 vs. Charl Schwartzel

No disrespect to the 2011 champion, but I have concerns about his ability to sustain his scoring considering he lost strokes in three of the four main areas on Friday, with his only positive numbers coming on the green. Now, he's matched up with one of the best young golfers on the PGA Tour.

Don't forget, Maverick McNealy is the No. 10-ranked golfer in the world right now. In no way should he be this small of a favorite against a golfer who is 40 years old with his best golf behind him.

Harris English +125 vs. Min Woo Lee

Harris English, despite being T22, has put up some unbelievable approach numbers in this event, gaining +2.17 strokes per round with his irons. A poor day with his driver on Saturday took him out of the mix, but he's still very much alive in round bets, and I can't believe he's a +125 underdog against Min Woo Lee.

Lee has put up some solid numbers across the board, but his driving accuracy is a cause for concern at Augusta, and his approach numbers haven't been nearly as good as English's. I think this matchup is basically a coin flip, and if I'm right about that, there's plenty of value on the former Georgia Bulldog as an underdog.

Tyrrell Hatton +215 vs. Scottie Scheffler

To be fair, I've lost a lot of bets trying to fade Scottie Scheffler in 2-ball and 3-ball bets, but I can't look past this one. Should Scheffler be favored against Tyrrell Hatton? Absolutely. Should Hatton be a +215 underdog against him for a single round of 18? Absolutely not.

Want to know who leads the Masters in strokes gained: tee-to-green through the first two rounds at the Masters? Mr. Hatton himself at +4.35 per round. That's well above Scheffler, who comes in at +2.66. Scheffler has been the much better putter, but if Hatton can keep up the ball striking performance he has put on in the first two rounds, he won't just beat Scheffler on Saturday, he'll be in contention for the Green Jacket on Sunday.
