Ali’s funeral is Friday.
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has been included as a last-minute addition to the pallbearers for Muhammad Ali’s funeral, according to the Associated Press.
Tyson took a red-eye flight to Louisville, Kentucky last night in a change of plans after being unsure whether he would be too emotional to attend the boxing legend’s funeral.
Ali passed away last Saturday at the age of 74 from septic shock after being hospitalized with a respiratory condition.
Tyson will join fellow pallbearers actor Will Smith, former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, Ali’s cousin John Grady, his nephew Ibn Ali, his former brother-in-law Komawi Ali, his cousin Jan Wadell, his friend John Ramsey and Jerry Ellis, the brother of his former sparring partner Jimmy Ellis.
The funeral procession will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET in Louisville, and the service will be held at 2 p.m. ET.
