One day after Houston landed four-star defensive tackle Ed Oliver, three-star DT Jordan Elliott, committed to the Cougars.
Elliott, who attends Houston's Westside high school, announced via Twitter on Friday that he plans to stay home and play for new coach Tom Herman. Elliott, a 6'4", 301-pound prospect and ESPN's 46th overall recruit in the 2016 class, decomitted from Baylor in April.
Elliott joins Oliver and three-star quarterback commit Bowman Sells as the team's major 2016 recruits.
Houston opens its 2015 football season on Sept. 5 against Tennessee Tech.
