Akron wide receiver Andrew Pratt was shot in the stomach by a teammate after he was mistaken for a burglar, according to Ohio.com. 

Offensive lineman Scott Boyett, who lives in a different apartment than Pratt, shot the receiver when he entered Boyett’s apartment unannounced at around 3 a.m. Someone in the apartment called the police, but Boyett had already taken Pratt to the hospital by the time officers arrived at the residence.  

No charges were filed for the incident after both players were interviewed and the shooting was determined to be an accident

Pratt is expected to recover from the injury.

Pratt is entering his senior season with the Zips. He played in 13 games last season, making 28 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown.
