BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe: Series with Notre Dame in doubt
BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said Thursday that the future of the team's scheduled series with Notre Dame is in doubt, according to the Deseret News's Jeff Call.
The two schools signed a six-game agreement in 2010 to be played in three-game clusters, with two games within each cluster played at Notre Dame and one game played at BYU. The teams have played two games already, both hosted and won by the Fighting Irish in 2012-13.

But Notre Dame's scheduling agreement with the ACC, in which it will play five games against conference schools each year beginning this season, has thrown into question whether the team can maintain pre-existing scheduling agreements. Notre Dame notably canceled the remainder of an agreement with rival Michigan in 2012.
There's currently no scheduled date for Notre Dame to make the return trip to BYU for the final game of the first cluster, nor dates for any of the three games in the other cluster. Holmoe said he is hoping the teams will be able to work out their schedules and find dates to play.
BYU announced Wednesday a home-and-home with Washington in 2018-19. The Cougars open the 2014 season Aug. 29 at Connecticut.
