Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles admitted on Monday that he did not cast his vote in the final college football Coaches Poll of the 2008 season, rather he passed the task along to a staffer in the football office, according to David Ubben of Fox Sports Southwest. 

On Briles' final ballot that season, Oklahoma was given the top spot in the country, while Texas received No. 5, despite the Longhorns winning the head-to-head match up against the Sooners in Dallas, 45-35.

Oklahoma and Texas, both fellow Big 12 members at the time, had one-loss records at the end of that year.

Briles on voting Texas No. 5 and OU No. 1 in 2008: "I didn't vote on that poll. I passed it on to somebody in the office."
