Auburn QB Nick Marshall willing to switch positions in NFL
Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall said he is willing to switch positions in the NFL, but he still views himself as a quarterback at the next level, AL.com's Brandon Marcello reports.
Marshall has completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 1,688 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions this season for the No. 16 Tigers. He has also rushed for 739 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. His numbers this season mirror his production last year when he threw for 1,976 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions while rushing for 1,068 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His low completion percentage has raised questions about his future as a quarterback, and he said he is not against making a change.
"It's just something I have to think about," Marshall said this week. "As of right now, I'm open to play anything, but I'm looking to play quarterback."

Marcello reports NFL teams project Marshall as a cornerback, the position he was set to play when he enrolled at Georgia in 2011.
Marshall was involved in two crucial fumbles during the fourth quarter against Texas A&M two weeks ago. The Tigers fumbled at the one-yard line and again on the 28-yard line en route to a 41-38 loss.
Auburn is 7-3 on the season and has lost its last two games. The Tigers host Samford on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
