Former Michigan quarterback Russell Bellomy transferring to UTSA
Former Michigan quarterback Russell Bellomy announced on Sunday he is transferring to University of Texas at San Antonio.
Bellomy, who played high school football in Arlington, Tex., will play his final college season at UTSA in 2015. As a graduate transfer, he is able to play immediately.
A three-star recruit out of Martin High School, Bellomy played in six games for Michigan over four seasons, completing four of 23 pass attempts for 46 yards and four interceptions. The 6'3", 217-pound quarterback was among the first Michigan recruits for former head coach Brady Hoke, who was fired in December. Bellomy also reportedly held scholarship offers from Purdue, Colorado and Boise State, among other schools.

Bellomy first announced his decision to transfer in January after Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh to replace Hoke.
The Wolverines will return two scholarship quarterbacks in 2015, junior Shane Morris and redshirt freshman Wilton Speight, and also added two four-star quarterbacks in their 2015 recruiting class.
UTSA went 4-8 and 3-5 in Conference USA play last season, the Roadrunners' fourth under former Miami (FL) head coach Larry Coker and their second as members of the C-USA.
