Texas A&M QB commit Kyler Murray says he's 'opting out' of MLB draft
Texas A&M quarterback commit and dual-sport athlete Kyler Murray announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he is "opting out" of this year's MLB draft.
Murray said he will play both football and baseball at Texas A&M. Rivals has him ranked as a four-star football recruit and the No. 5 dual-threat quarterback in his class, and MLB.com listed him among 50 prospects to watch for the 2015 MLB draft.
The 5'11," 180-pound Murray was the first player to be selected for both the Under Armour All-America baseball and football games.
All high school seniors are eligible for the MLB draft and cannot technically opt out, but according to the Dallas Morning News, Murray does not plan to sign with any team should he still be drafted.

Murray will be once again eligible for the MLB draft once he turns 21 or has competed his junior collegiate season.
The Aggies football team finished 8–5 last year under head coach Kevin Sumlin. Texas A&'M's baseball team is currently 41–7 and tied for first place in the SEC West.
