Three-star WR Michael Irvin Jr. commits to Miami
Michael Irvin Jr., the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, has committed to the Miami Hurricanes, he announced on Twitter on Monday.
With his decision, Irvin Jr. will follow in his father's footsteps. Michael Irvin played at Miami for three seasons from 1985 to 1987, winning the national championship in 1987. While at Miami, Irvin set Hurricanes records for career receptions (143), receiving yards (2,423) and touchdown receptions.
Irvin Jr., a 2016 recruit from Ft Lauderdale, Fla., is ranked as a three-star wide receiver on Rivals.com and the No. 81 player at his position. He also held offers from Michigan, N.C. State, South Florida and UCF.

Miami now has 22 commitments from the 2016 class, including eight four-stars.
The Hurricanes went 6–7 last season in Al Golden's fourth year as coach.
