If invited, Keenan Reynolds would fly to Heisman ceremony in helicopter
In the event that Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds gets invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Dec. 12, the team’s game against Army in Philadelphia that same day will not stop him from getting there.
According to CBS Sports, Reynolds would be flown by helicopter to New York for the ceremony following the game. Two helicopters would take nine individuals, including Reynolds and members of his family, on the 30-minute trip to New York to a landing pad that is just over a mile away from the ceremony’s location.
Navy officials have already worked out the timing to make sure that Reynolds could play the full game, which starts at 3:15 p.m. ET, and still make it to the ceremony by 8 p.m. ET.
By analyzing past Army-Navy games, Navy officials determined that the longest the game will last is three and a half hours, giving Reynolds enough time to make it to New York if he and head coach Ken Niumatalolo forgo media interviews following the game.

“If we get him out of there by 7 o’clock and the game is over by 6:20 or 6:30, he should land in time,” said Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk, adding that it would make for a very dramatic entrance if Reynolds strolled into the ceremony late wearing his “Navy blues.”
Reynolds currently leads the FBS in rushing touchdowns and is tied for fifth nationally in rushing touchdowns with 19.
