Solicitation count against Ohio State's Washington dismissed

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A misdemeanor solicitation charge against Ohio State defensive lineman Adolphus Washington has been dismissed.

Court records show the charge was dismissed Monday. Washington's attorney said last month that the charge would be dismissed under a plea deal if Washington completed a program in which men learn about victimization of prostitutes.

Court records show he pleaded guilty to the charge in January in Columbus. Police cited Washington Dec. 9.

The Columbus Dispatch reports police said Washington agreed to pay an undercover officer $100 for sex after responding to an online ad.

The senior from Cincinnati played in 12 games this season but was suspended for the Buckeyes' Fiesta Bowl victory over Notre Dame on Jan. 1.

He issued an apology through the university, saying he would learn from his mistake.
