Report: Nevada hires ex-Cal assistant Yann Hufnagel after resignation

Former Cal assistant coach Yann Hufnagel has reached an agreement to join Eric Musselman's coaching staff at Nevada, according to Gary Parrish of CBS.
Hufnagel initially planned on fighting Cal's decision to dismiss him before he resigned from the program on Thursday amid sexual harassment allegations. Hufnagel was placed on paid leave as the university looked into the claims.
“The toxic environment at UC Berkeley has made it impossible for Mr. Hufnagel to rejoin the basketball team he loves, even if he is vindicated in full, as the facts would show,” lawyer Mary McNamara, said in a statement. “He needs to look out for the student-athletes he coached, as well as his own future. Earlier this morning and after much consideration, he decided it was time to move on.”

Hufnagel was a member of Cuonzo Martin's coaching staff since 2014 after spending one year as an assistant at Vanderbilt. He also served as an assistant at Harvard for four seasons.
