Jim Harbaugh to give graduation speech at Rashan Gary's high school
Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh will deliver the commencement address at Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey on June 9, according to NorthJersey.com.
“Commencement is an academic ceremony. It’s not connected to athletics,” school president Jim Vail said. “But I have gotten to know Coach Harbaugh pretty well. I’m not a football guy, but I know a great educator when I see one, and he always impressed me as a great educator and great leader.”
Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers and offensive lineman Juwann Bushell-Beatty attended Paramus Catholic. Incoming freshman defensive lineman Rashan Gary—the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2016—also attended Paramus Catholic, and will be in attendance at commencement to hear his new coach speak.
Harbaugh may also be interested in outside linebacker Drew Singleton and four-star defensive lineman Corey Bolds, who are part of the class of 2017.

Former Paramus head football coach Chris Partridge serves as the linebackers coach for Harbaugh at Michigan.
Harbaugh has experience delivering commencement speeches, as last summer he addressed Coronado High School in California for a class that included his son James.
Harbaugh is heading into his second season at Michigan after compiling a 10–3 record and a Citrus Bowl victory in his first year in Ann Arbor.
