Missouri’s Mack Rhoades hired as Baylor athletics director

Baylor will hire Missouri’s Mack Rhoades as its next athletic director, the University confirmed Wednesday.
Rhoades served as the athletic director at Missouri for a little over a year. During his time at Missouri, Rhoades experienced the University's share of controversy. He saw the football team threaten to boycott practices and games until president Tim Wolfe stepped down. Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin then resigned hours after Wolfe.
Rhoades also recently hired Barry Odom to replace Gary Pinkel, who retired following the 2015 season.

He replaces Ian McCaw at Baylor, which has been dealing with the fallout of a sexual assault scandal involving the athletics department and football team.
McCaw, head coach Art Briles and president Kenneth Starr were all removed from their positions in May after an investigation revealed mishandling of sexual assault complaints.
Rhoades was previously the athletic director at Houston.
