Pinging The Portal: Cincinnati Shows More Transfer Interest As CBB Offseason Officially Begins

In this story:
CINCINNATI — A fresh Pinging the Portal heading into the weekend as Cincinnati shows continued interest in players from across the country. We start with Kansas guard Rakease Passmore.
247Sports's Travis Branham reported the "strong" interest in the 6-5, 185-pound freshman. Passmore went 8-21 from the field this past season. He appeared in 23 games—averaging five minutes per game and scoring less than a point per game on average.
He was a top-50 recruit in 2025 and holds three more seasons of eligibility.
Kansas freshman Rakease Passmore has scheduled two visits to Virginia (Apr. 11) and Miami (Apr. 15), a source tells @247Sports.

Next, we have a possible visit from George Mason forward Jalen Haynes. UC assistant coach Andre Morgan is following the talent on Instagram and he posted a picture from the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport on Thursday.
The 6-8, 250-pound talent holds one more season of eligibility after posting 14.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game on 55.4% shooting from the floor. Haynes is a traditional interior player with a 60.4% free throw mark and a 3-17 total from outside this past season.
He'd be an immediate starting candidate in a UC frontcourt with just Halvine Dzellat and Tyler McKinley in the fold as of this writing.

We close the Portal Ping with interest in Robert Morris guard Kam Woods.
The Portal Report noted the interest this week in the 6-2, 170-pound guard with one year of eligibility remaining.
Woods averaged 14.9 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds this past season on 37% shooting from the floor. He led the Horizon League with 36.1 minutes per game and was on the All-Horizon team.
Robert Morris transfer Kam Woods has heard from the following schools in the portal, he told @ThePortalReport:
