Vanderbilt University announced Tuesday that athletic director Malcom Turner is stepping down from his position after one year with the school to pursue new opportunities. Former Commodores basketball captain Candice Storey Lee will take over the role, making history in the process. Not only is she the first woman to serve as the school’s AD, but Lee becomes the first African American woman run an athletic department in SEC history.
