With the college basketball transfer window officially open, SI's Jason Jordan breaks down how the ACC got stronger with its newest players to come from other schools.

Madelyn Burke: Springtime in college basketball means rosters are reshaped and the transfer portal is open. So joining me now is SI's Jason Jordan. And Jason, as we track the transfers, look at who's coming and going in the ACC. Tell me who is who is the ACC most looking forward to seeing this upcoming season?

Jason Jordan: Well, you know, once again, one of the best basketball conferences get richer, and that's going to definitely be the case this coming season. So we'll start with the guys that'll be there. You have to contribute right away next season. Let's start with Patrick Tate coming to Duke from Columbia, 6' 10", 230 pounds, just a big body, but he's really efficient down in the low post with both hands. And he has a great feel for the game. He can really pass, have a double team, and he's also a defensive presence. So he'll mesh well with the top three recruiting class they have coming in, depending on what rankings you fancy. Another one is at Louisville, and that's Carlik Jones who's coming there from Radford average 20 points a game. Now, that's big because Darius Perry left. So, you know, they're bringing in another scorer that can kind of create for all of his teammates. And that's a guy, Chris Mack will be able to use in a lot of different ways. Then Wake Forest's Steve Forbes got a big win. And Ian Dubose, a lot of people don't know who that is, but I've known Ian since he was about eleven years old. So he's a really capable guard, big athletic 6' 5". He's coming to Wake Forest from Houston, as he led the league in scoring there almost twenty points a game. But he's a guy Steve Forbes to be able to use in a lot of different ways on both sides of the ball. So he's going to be a guy who's great in his system. And then finally, Trey Wertz, who's coming to Notre Dame from Santa Clara. Sharpshooter. Knock down shots. He'll do great. I think it'll fit perfectly in Mike Brey systems. So those are the guys that I think ACC fans will be knowing a lot more about in the future.

Madelyn Burke: A lot of exciting talent coming to this conference. Jason, thank you so much for the insight.
