Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College point guard El Ellis is widely regarded as the top JUCO point guard in the country and picked Louisville over Oregon, Texas Tech, North Carolina Central, Georgia and others. Last season, Ellis averaged 14.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game last season, while shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 40.3 percent from three-point range and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Ellis is the newest member of the Cardinals' 2021 recruiting class.
