Virginia and Virginia Tech are postponing their Sept. 19 football opener because of COVID-19 issues at Virginia Tech. The Hokies are pausing football activities for four days as the school announced 219 positive coronavirus tests in the past seven days. Virginia Tech has seen 633 infections since testing began on August 3, with cases rising steadily after students returned August 24.
