Hall of Fame Basketball Coach John Chaney Passes Away at 89
John Chaney, the hall of fame basketball coach who spent 24 season at Temple, has passed away
Hall of Fame Temple basketball coach John Chaney has died at the age of 89. In his 24 seasons at Temple, Chaney led the Owls to 17 NCAA Tournament appearances including five NCAA regional finals, and a winning record in all but his first season. The two-time coach of the year had 741 total wins as a college coach, and built a legacy as one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time.
