Celtics guard Rajon Rondo is under fire for skipping the team's trip to Sacramento so he could stay in Los Angeles and celebrate his birthday (though he wasn't scheduled to play in the game). It seems odd to me that the team didn't scold him in private and tell the media that it was an excused absence, but Rondo has also been on the trading block since 2009, so what do I know?
With all this talk of Rondo and partying, I felt compelled to bust out these never-before-seen photos from 2008 of the Celtics guard enjoying a day at the skating rink with some young friends.

A little over 20 years ago, a Seminoles quarterback named Charlie Ward also played two sports and eventually carved out a nice NBA career for himself.
