Monday's A.M. Hot Clicks: Scenes from Seinfeld Night in Brooklyn

Scenes From Seinfeld Night

Seinfeld-Night

The Brooklyn Cyclones hosted Seinfeld Night at MCU Park on Saturday. It was real and it was spectacular. Where else could you see a Keith Hernandez "Magic Loogie" bobblehead doll, an Elaine Benes Dance Contest and Festivus foul poles along the rightfield and leftfield lines? If you weren't among the 8,241 fans lucky enough to attend the event in person, this photo gallery should give you a sense of all the Seinfeld-related fun.

The 19th Annual World Wife Carrying Championships

Yes, this is a real thing. Thirty-six couples from across the globe descended on the central Finnish municipality of Sonkajarvi, north of Helsinki, for this year's event. In the end, Finland's Ville Parviainen and Janette Oksman just edged out Britain's Rich Blake Smith and Anna Marguerite Smith for the win.

Lovely Lady of the Day

Oakland Welcomes Shark

Jeff Samardzija was traded to the A's over the weekend and made his first start in Oakland on Sunday. Samardzija has one of the most difficult names in sports to spell, and the home fans, after several tries, ultimately opted to use the nickname "Shark" to adorn their banners. Meanwhile, the Yankees also acquired a new hurler -- Twitter hero Brandon McCarthy. And New York's strict policy against facial hair made Mrs. McCarthy very happy.

Johnny Damon is Deluded

Despite batting .271 (2010), .262 (’11) and .222 (’12) in his last three seasons, Johnny Damon still thinks he can "outhit at least half the league" and doesn't understand why nobody will give him a chance.

LeBron James is Jacked

Everyone's favorite Beatle, Ringo Starr, turns 74 today. In this 1964 photo, Starr throws a punch at  boxing legend Sugar Ray Robinson during the filming of the movie Candy (a sex farce!), in which they both appeared. For more classic sports photos, check out the SI Vault on Twitter.
