A TV station cut away from the final minutes of the World Cup

WENY of Elmira, New York decided the safety risk of an impending tornado was worth cutting off the end of the game as Argentina tried to come back from Mario Göetze's goal in the final minutes, but several of their viewers disagreed.
Thanks @WENYTV for ruining the #WorldCupFinal. Couldn't wait 5 mins? Pretty sure most of us can read & perceive a giant storm warning scroll

Others defended the move and lauded the station for recognizing lives might be at risk.
Um, instead of being all mad @WENYTV for cutting away from end of #worldcup, how about you be mad at tornado that made them do it?

If this is the reaction to missing five minutes of scoreless soccer, what would have happened if they had cut out before the games lone goal?
