Knicks fan tells Carmelo he stinks, gets tossed, loses job, sues

A Knicks fan is suing the owners of Madison Square Garden, saying he was ejected from a game for jeering Carmelo Anthony and then fired from his job.

Anthony Rotondi, a former trader at ING, was at the Knicks game on Jan. 7 against the Rockets and decided it would be a good idea to pick on the home team's best player.

During the final minute of the game, Rotondi yelled, "Carmelo, you stink," at the reigning NBA scoring champion, the court filing says. He was ejected from the arena, arrested and charged with second degree Tampering with a Sports Contest and third degree Criminal Trespass.

Rotondi was sitting with his supervisor and two clients in seats owned by his employer. He was fired two days after the incident.

SI's legal analyst, Michael McCann, weighed in on the lawsuit on Twitter:

He probably should have just yelled at a Knicks player who actually stinks, like Raymond Felton.
