Orioles fan performs Baltimore-themed version of Lorde's "Royals"

What a time to be alive. The Kansas City Royals' first ALCS appearance in 29 years coincides with the release of a pop song inspired by George Brett.

It's because of this wonderful alignment of the stars that we get things like the video above, in which an Orioles fan writes and records a version of Lorde's "Royals" to celebrate her favorite baseball team's upcoming playoff series against the song's namesake.

The song was made by O's fan Lauren Hall, who changed the original song's refrain to "And we'll beat the Royals." The full lyrics are in the description of the YouTube video.
