Edmonton is so cold the CFL team's kickers broke 9 footballs

The Edmonton Eskimos are in the division finals of this year's Grey Cup playoffs, but they are having a little trouble getting special teams practice in, as the cold is causing balls to burst when they are kicked.

The Eskimos equipment manager tweeted out a photo of nine busted footballs from Monday's practice courtesy of the team's kickers and the just below zero temperatures on the field.

Keep in mind that these are the same footballs that happily survive being on the bottom of a pile of a half dozen massive football players, so it takes a deep and terrifying cold to make this happen to them. Poor footballs.
