Young fan takes big hit during OHL team's pregame skate

Wednesday December 3rd, 2014

Hunter Smith is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound hockey player, and when you have that kind of size moving around on skates it is not good news for anyone who gets in his way, especially a youth hockey player.

The Oshawa Generals had invited the young fan to suit up and join them for warmups, which was probably the highlight of his young life until he got lost in the shuffle while skating around and took a big hit from Calgary Flames prospect Smith.

The hit is clearly accidental and the boy gets up quickly after hitting the ice, so the whole incident can just be chalked up to helping to toughen the boy up for his inevitable hockey career.
