Russell Westbrook and Spike Lee star in new Foot Locker commercial

Tuesday December 9th, 2014

In Foot Locker's newest commercial, Russell Westbrook questions a young basketball player on if he is really "ready to fly" by running him through a ringer of training montage cliches, from eating a breakfast of raw eggs to putting up jump shots in a dramatically lit gym.

Westbrook gets some help in his quest to be the worst personal trainer of all time from director and longtime Air Jordan fan Spike Lee, who pops up to motivate the teenage player with a little hate.

Of course, you cannot mention Spike Lee and Jordan commercials without showing his legendary role as Michael Jordan's annoying hype man, Mars Blackmon.
