Watch: Kings inadvertently try 4-on-5 defense after botched substitution

The Sacramento Kings accidentally played a possession of four-on-five defense after a botched substitution against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.
After the Nets committed a turnover and play stopped, Kings forward Reggie Evans walked off the court in what appeared to be a substitution, with DeMarcus Cousins set to check in.
However, Cousins never checked in, leaving Sacramento with only four players back on defense. Evans eventually came back onto the court.

After Brooklyn missed a shot and Ray McCallum grabbed the rebound, McCallum found Evans with a pass behind the defense. Evans tried to go up with a two-handed dunk, but he missed the attempt.
Kings owner VivekRanadivé previously has pitched the idea of playing four-on-five, also known as cherry-picking, but he probably didn't want it unveiled quite this way.
