Buried in Katie Baker's column for Grantland on the Winter Classic is this footnote about a battle for D.C. sports supremacy between Washington Nationals owner Mark Lerner and Ted Leonsis, the owner of the Capitals and Wizards: 

[Leonsis and] Lerner have a little bit of a friendly competition, Leonsis said: They scour each other’s arenas for anything amiss and let the other one know. Recently Leonsis emailed Lerner that he’d noticed a Q-tip on the floor somewhere in Nationals Park. Soon after, Lerner wrote back: “GOT IT.”

This sort of obsessive behavior must come in handy when trying to run a major business. If only Dan Snyder, the city's NFL owner, had the same attention to detail.
