Louisville volleyball player wins Miss Kentucky USA pageant

Katie George is a starting setter for the Louisville Cardinals women's volleyball team, and as of this weekend, she is also Miss Kentucky USA.

The 21-year-old Louisville native told The Courier Journal, that this had been her first attempt at a pageant.

 "I've never worn a crown, but this is a pretty amazing feeling," she said. "So I am excited to represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky."

Fan invites Michael Jordan to wedding, get autograph instead

George will go on to compete in the Miss USA pageant and if she is successful there, she will represent the country at the Miss Universe contest.
