Odell Beckham Jr. and others test their soccer skills in England

With the NFL Combine come and gone, the American football world is now mired in a dry spell set to last until the NFL Draft starts at the end of April.
But that stretch isn't totally without a bit of footy, you just have to travel a little ways to find it.
Which is exactly what the Odell Beckham Jr., Eric Wood of the Buffalo Bills, Manchester-born Oakland Raider Menelik Watson and Lawrence Okoye of the 49ers by way of Croydon, did.
The quartet got the chance to meet with members of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and try their hand, er, foot, at the version of football that is so popular over in England.
It went about how you would expect.

But that isn't to say that NFL skills weren't totally applicable to the other beautiful game.

This year's draft will run from April 30 to May 2, and the 2015 NFL season is currently scheduled to begin on Sept. 10. Hopefully that's enough time for Beckham and his collegues to get the Guinness and figgy pudding out of their systems.
