Kentucky's 5'9" Tyler Ulis stares down Auburn's 7'2" Trayvon Reed
Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis provided one of the greatest photos of the college basketball season on Saturday when he started down Auburn center Trayvon Reed.
Ulis, 5'9" freshman point guard, found himself in a confrontation with the 7'2" Reed (also a freshman) during the first half of Kentucky's 91-67 win in the SEC tournament semifinal.
Both players were issued technical fouls after jawing at each other, but neither took a free throw.
Ulis said he took some flak from his teammates—"They were like, how are you going to reach him!?"—but neither side seemed to take offense after the play.
Ulis finished with six points, six assists and five rebounds in 24 minutes. Reed scored one point and added two rebounds in 13 minutes for Auburn.
Kentucky will face Arkansas in the SEC tournament championship on Sunday after the Razorbacks defeated Georgia 60-49.
