Tom Brady took batting practice from Pedro Martinez

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw out the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox home opener. Beforehand, he took batting practice from Pedro Martinez.

In a parallel universe, Tom Brady and Pedro Martinez could have been teammates. Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos while Martinez was still with the team. He decided to play football at Michigan instead and has to be pretty happy with how things turned out.

Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft were at Fenway Park for the Red Sox home opener and brought the Lombardi Trophy with them. Brady threw out the first pitch and then went into the tunnel to show everyone he's still pretty good with the bat.

As for the pitch, that wasn't as great.

At least we know David Ortiz still remembers how to use his glove.
