Minor league team to wear Lego-themed jerseys

Friday June 26th, 2015

Well, that's something you don't see every day.

The Harrisburg Senators, the Nationals' AA affiliate, are breaking out colorful Lego-themed jerseys for "Bricks & Baseball night" for Saturday's game against the Altoona Curve.

We've seen creative minor league promotions over the years. There have been Back to the Future unis. There were Mr. Rogers-themed cardigan jerseys. There was a night dedicated exclusively to poking fun at disgraced NBC anchor Brian Williams.

But this weekend, there will be Lego night. Feast your eyes. And trust me, there aren't any good brick-related baseball puns.

And hey, maybe this is something Harrisburg (32-41) can build off.
