“Okay everyone I NEED your HELP!! My fiancée has agreed that if I get 3,000+ Retweets Bella gets to be in our wedding!” was the tweet from Leonard at 4:06 p.m. ET, accompanied by four adorable photos of Bella.

By 5:31 p.m., Leonard‘s fiancée, Elle Bielfeldt, acknowledged she had far underestimated the affinity Twitter has for cute dogs.

Good for the three-year veteran—Leonard enjoyed an improved third season in the NBA, averaging 5.9 points and 4.5 rebounds, both career highs, over 15.4 minutes per game. Moreover, Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge are both no longerin Portland, presenting Leonard with a gigantic opportunity to cement himself as a mainstay of the Blazers’ frontcourt.

Fortunately for Portland, he’s already a fan favorite.
