Heat guard Dwyane Wade launches his own wine label on Chinese fan tour

We always knew Dwyane Wade was a classy guy, but now he has his own wine label to back up that characterization.

We always knew Dwyane Wade was a classy guy, but now he can really back up that assertion: Dude has his own wine label.

Wade launched “Wade,” his cleverly named wine label, this week during a Chinese tour that included stops in Beijing and Shanghai.

The 33-year-old Miami star, who will stay with the Heat after signing a one-year, $20 million contract earlier this month, follows with the launch in the footsteps of former professional athletes like ex-New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe and former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, who both recently started their own wine labels.

Wade hasn't disclosed the wine’s varietal, and it’s unclear if the wine is yet available for purchase. China produces the seventh-largest amount of wine of any country in the world, though, according to the International Organization of Vine and Wine. So Wade’s Chinese fans could be well-suited consumers.

Wade’s wine launch might shed new light on what he was sipping on with LeBron James, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony last week on vacation.

Did The King swing an early taste of Wade’s first vintage?
