Segway cameraman says he apologized to Usain Bolt after collision

The cameraman who ran over Usain Bolt Thursday spoke for the first time following the incident.

The cameraman who bulldozed Usain Bolt with his Segway says he apologized immediately following the collision, and that he’s ready to return to work.

In an interview with the Guardian, Song Tao, a cameraman for CCTV, said that he escaped without injury and is glad Bolt is in the same condition.

“The important thing is that he is OK,” Tao said through a translator. “I’m fine and ready to get back to work.”
