Indians rookies dress as cheerleaders, ride electric scooters

The Cleveland Indians have won five in a row, which calls for a little celebration.

Before the team left for its nine-game road trip Sunday, the Indians had a little fun hazing their rookies. Francisco Lindor, Giovanny Urshela, Cody Anderson and Austin Adams all dressed up as cheerleaders for the Indians’ Fantasy Football League (IFFL).

It’s unclear whether the team actually has a league that includes all 25 players on the roster, or perhaps two different leagues for pitchers and position players. They may not even have an actual league at all. But they do have cheerleaders, and they traveled to the team bus on electric scooters.

“Two, four, six, eight. We’re 20th in slugging but our pitching’s great. We’re the Indians, yeah yeah, we’re the Indians, yeah yeah.”
