Tuesday's A.M. Hot Clicks: Laura Vandervoort; NFL Mascot Dispute

Tuesday's A.M. Hot Clicks examines Monday Night Football, a contract dispute with the Vikings and their mascot, and features Laura Vandervoort as lovely lady of the day.

This Actually Happened

The Vikings announced on Monday that they have not been able to reach a new contract agreement with Joe Juranitch, who was their mascot of 21 years.

Monday Night Football Roundup

So when did the Colts become THAT bad? Monday Night Football featured the Indy and the Jets in a real snoozer, and even before kickoff, Colts running back Delone Carter was able to hilariously videobomb ESPN's Steve Levy. Meanwhile, veteran linebacker Robert Mathis returned to raucous applause after missing the entire 2014 season with a torn Achilles. The Pylon Cam was a very big hit on Twitter. Ray Lewis must have been bored because he got caught texting live on ESPN. Monday night also marked the 45th anniversary of the first broadcast of Monday Night Football, on Sept. 21, 1970. If you want to take a trip down memory lane, someone was kind enough to upload the historic first MNF broadcast in its entirety onto YouTube.

Easy There Tiger

You’ll never see a sports fan as thrilled to meet their favorite athlete as this Japanese rugby fan was to meet former Wales star Shane Williams.
