The Cubs may win a World Series before Hell freezes over after all.

The "mayor" of Hell, Mich., talked to DNAInfo.com and he said he expects the team to break their 107-year losing streak this postseason, well ahead of the oddly named town’s first frost of the year, which generally comes in mid-November.

John Colone is a local business owner and the unofficial mayor of the 266-person town, and he says that while most of the residents root for the Tigers, the town is pulling for the Chicago team.

"I hope that they win," Colone said. "If they don't, we'll probably put a brick up in Hell's Walk of Shame, where you can permanently put someone in Hell."

The town lacks the fire and brimstone of its famous namesake, but does offer a wedding chapel and a post office for those looking for marriages and letters from Hell.
