Interactive graphic: NFL Week 7 injuries by body part

NFL injuries by body part for Week 7 of the NFL season.

We’re nearly halfway through the NFL season and the injuries continue to pile up. Two players actually seemed especially fortunate this week as offensive linemen Jason Peters and Orlando Franklin both left games on a cart, but appear to have non-season ending injuries.

The same can’t be said for Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, who tore his Achilles on a non-contact play against the Dolphins. Joining foster on the sidelines is Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Louis Murphy, who is done for the year with a torn ACL. Tampa Bay receiver Vincent Jackson is also battling knee troubles.

Here are the rest of the injuries we could find for Week 7, grouped by body part. (We miss anything? Shoot us an email.)

Week 7 saw 32 total injuries, a slightly lower figure than the last couple weeks. We had four players enter the concussion protocol. The carnage to players’ lower bodies was slightly less than in weeks past, although the severity of some injuries—such as Murphy’s knee tear and Phillip Dorsett’s ankle fracture—continue to show how rough this game is every week.

We’ll be back with more.
