Where would Donald Trump land if he took an ownership role? Maybe in the same city he grew up.

Where would Donald Trump land if he took an ownership role? Maybe in the same city he grew up.

In an interview with Colin Cowherd on Monday, presidential hopeful Donald Trump said if he could own any team in sports, it would be the New York Yankees.

“I’m from New York, I guess I would say maybe the Yankees. George Steinbrenner was a great friend of mine, did a great job,” Trump told Cowherd. “I would really always say the Yankees.”

Trump also mentioned that the Dallas Cowboys are a team that is “well thought of from the standpoint of monetary value,” and commended Mets owners Fred and Jeff Wilpon for a great year.

Trump also mentioned that sports gambling was OK. “It’s happening anyway,” he said.

If this whole President thing doesn’t work out, maybe these two can co-host a radio show.
